Nara (Yamato)
Nara, located in the Kansai region of Japan, is a place of deep history, ancient temples, and beautiful natural surroundings. It is also known for its sacred deer, which have long been regarded as messengers of the gods in Japanese tradition.
Beyond its famous cultural heritage, Nara is home to a quiet but remarkable tea culture. High-quality Japanese teas are grown in its fertile land and mountain areas, where skilled farmers carefully cultivate each harvest. The result is tea with a refined aroma, rich flavor, and a sense of place that reflects the calm beauty of Nara.
Though smaller in scale than some of Japan’s better-known tea regions, Nara produces teas of exceptional quality. For tea lovers around the world, it remains one of Japan’s hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
